(MAYVILLE, NY) — Chautauqua County will be holding a public meeting to discuss Chautauqua Lake boat user fees on Tuesday, August 15th, 2023 at 6PM. The meeting will be held at the Gerace Office Building 3 N. Erie St. Third Floor Legislative Chambers Mayville, NY 14757. This meeting is open to the public and will be live streamed through Chautauqua County’s YouTube page.

The CLA has recommended for years that a boat user fee be considered as a part of a long term funding scenario to finance lake management. Going forward, any funding program should be overseen by an entity that brings all entities including government and lake groups to the table with no single entity comprising a majority of decision making board.
