This week CLA crews are back out there harvesting early growth. We have 2 crews working out of Lakewood and Long Point. They will be surveying and harvesting areas of need and harvesting navigational paths.
In week three we will add additional operators and begin training our new recruits. Only harvesters and transports will be in the water for this special harvesting project. Regular activities will begin the week of June 13, followed by shore crews on June 20 once school is out.
Due to the spray project this week we will be avoiding all potential spray areas as outlined on the maps.
The Lakewood crew will be wrapping up Burtis Bay for now and heading to the east shore to check on the area from Fluvanna to Bell Ave. From there they will go back through the marinas in Celoron, then along the west shore of Lakewood to Sherman’s Bay. After that they will once again check Burtis along with any other areas reported.
The Long Point crew will be working along the east shore below the bridge in the Shore Acres Bay area. Once complete they will begin working in the Lower and Upper Stow areas once again.
Have a great week… Regular Season will be here before we know it!
