2023 Chautauqua Lake Photo Contest

On May 1, 2023, the CLA launched our first ever Chautauqua Lake Photo Contest. Photographers of all ages were invited to share their best and brightest pictures of the lake we all love. Well over 300 photo submissions were received before the close of the contest in early July.

Images were entered into five categories: Chautauqua Lake Pets, Landmarks & Landscapes, Lake Plants & Wildlife, Life on Chautauqua Lake and a youth category for photographers under the age of 14.

Photo submissions were judged on creativity, relevance and overall image quality. The top two photos in each category received special recognition and were featured as silent auction items at the CLA’s Annual Denim & Diamonds Fundraising Gala.

Congratulations to David Cammarata, the People’s Choice Prize Winner, who received the most Facebook votes on his photo titled: “A fall sunset in Maple Springs.” Cammarata was the awarded two tickets to the CLA’s Denim & Diamonds Gala that took place at Chautauqua Suites on August 2.
