Post Season Work Summary: October 1
This week crews completed the west shore from Vukote into Burtis Bay and then to the Celoron Park boat launch. This completes our post season in-lake activities.
In addition, we assisted Maple Springs Tree Service with another near shore tree removal. The hydro-mate and two barges assisted with this.
We have had many calls this month as we were seen moving equipment south to our Lakewood facility. Unfortunately, we cannot be everywhere and during our post season effort we focused on areas that were not visited during the final weeks of regular season.

Post Season Work Summary: September 24
Post season work is a combination of shallow harvesting, skimming, and clearing the shoreline with the assistance of the Mobi tracks. Despite the weather challenges this week (rain, high winds and below normal temperatures) crews completed the west shore to Ashville, focusing on Whitney Bay, Upper Stow, Hadley Bay working south to Ashville Bay Marina.
Beginning Monday all equipment will be moved south to our Lakewood location. Crews will continue working south from Vukote along the west shore and into Burtis Bay if time allows.
In addition, we assisted Maple Springs Tree Service with a near shore tree removal. The hydro-mate and two barges assisted with this.

Post season work is a combination of shallow harvesting, skimming, and clearing the shoreline with the assistance of the Mobi tracks. This week crews completed the east shore from Hartfield through Dewittville Bay to the Lutheran Camp. They then crossed and began working in Whitney Bay along the west shore.
Beginning Monday all equipment will be moved to our Long Point location working south though the mid-lake territory.
In addition, our special debris crew finished picking up large logs and trees that were unmanageable during regular season. The hydro-mate assisted with this. That crew completed the entire east shore from Bemus Creek to Fluvanna.

Post season work is a combination of shallow harvesting, skimming, and clearing the shoreline with the assistance of the Mobi tracks. This week crews completed Burtis Bay to the CLA shop. They also worked in Mayville from the park to Big Inlet in Hartfield Bay. In addition, we had a special debris crew picking up large logs and trees that were unmanageable during regular season. The hydro-mate was launched to assist with this. That crew completed the entire west shore and the upper east shore stopping at Bemus Creek.
Next week crews will continue along the east shore from Hartfield Bay to Camp Onyahsa then cross to the west shore working south. The debris crew will complete Bemus Creek and move south along the east shore.

This week the Mayville crew completed the west shore from Webb’s to the Bell Tower in Chautauqua, then crossed to Dewittville Bay.
The Long Point harvesters completed the west shore from WeWanChu to the Bell Tower in Chautauqua. Then crossed and worked along the east shore from the Lutheran Camp to Maple Springs. Then along Lakeside from the Lawson Center to the Casino then through the narrows on the Stow side. The shore crew also completed the west shore from Cheney’s Pont to Prendergast Point. Then along Lakeside from the Lawson Center to the Casino.
The Lakewood crew worked in Burtis Bay all week.
The Mobi north crew continued along the west shore from Victoria to Chautauqua Suites in Mayville.
The Mobi south crew completed the east shore to Old Fluvanna then crossed and worked from the Celoron Marinas to Burtis Bay.

This week the Mayville crew completed their route around the east shore to Camp Onyahsa. Then worked from Chautauqua Marina to the Watermark.
The Long Point harvesters worked from Whitney Bay to We Wan Chu along the west shore then from Long Point north to Whiteside Parkway in Maple Springs. The shore crew completed the east shore to the Cheney Farm then worked along the west shore from Ashville Bay to the Stow Ferry.
The Lakewood crew completed the east shore along Old Fluvanna then moved to the west shore working from Celoron Park into Burtis Bay. The mobi south crew continued along the east shore from Colburn Drive to Bell Ave. The mobi north crew Completed the east shore to the Casino in Bemus then crossed to the Stow ferry heading north along the west shore to Victoria Road.

Work Summary: August 16 – 20
This week the Mayville Harvesters made their way from Webb’s to Chautauqua Institution. Then from the park to North Drive. The shore crew focused on the area between the park and Watermark, then made their way to Hartfield Bay.
The Long Point harvester worked in Whitney Bay heading north to Manor Drive. The shore crew worked the east shores from the bridge to Colburn Drive.
The Lakewood harvesters made their way from Front Street in Lakewood to Smith Boys. The shore crew continued south along Old Fluvanna to Bittersweet Drive.
The Mobi south crew made their way from the Casino in Bemus to Colburn Drive. The Mobi north crew continued along the east shore from Maple Springs to the Lawson Center.
Despite the challenges with weather this week the crews are moving right along.

This week Lakewood shore crew continued south along Old Fluvanna. The harvesters worked their way through Burtis bay to the CLA Shop.
Long Point harvesters worked through Whitney Bay. Then due to some manpower issues the harvester joined the shore crew which worked from South Frontage to the Bridge along the east shore.
The Mayville crew worked from the Mayville Park to Chautauqua Inst. Then from the park to Bird & Tree just above the Watermark.
The mobi south crew completed the west shore from Ashville bay to the Stow Ferry. Then crossed to the east shore and began heading south from the Casino to the Bemus Launch. The mobi north crew continued along the east shore from Hartfield Bay to the Vikings.

This week has been a bit of a challenge between equipment repairs and employee attendance however we made it through!
The Mayville crew completed the east shore to Dewittville Bay then the west shore to the Boys and Girls Club in Chautauqua Inst.
The Long Point harvesters began their week in Whitney Bay. Then due to an equipment problem worked the narrows from the Bridge to Ferry on both the Stow and Bemus side. The shore crew has been working along the east shore from the Lutheran Camp to South Frontage on Lakeside Drive.
The Lakewood harvesters Completed the east shore to Denslow on Old Fluvanna then crossed to the Celoron marinas working north into Burtis Bay. The shore crew has continued south along the east shore to Lake Street on Old Fluvanna. The Mobi South crew has made their way north along the west shore from the Y camp to Ashville Bay marina. The Mobi North crew has made their way from Chautauqua Marina to Lake Avenue in Hartfield Bay.

This week the crews have made great progress despite the rain out yesterday. Lakewood harvesters have completed their route along the west shore to Ashville Bay. They then crossed to the east and began heading south from the Cheney Farm to Sunnyside. The shore crew is still collecting debris as they work south along the east shore from Bellview Point to Greenhurst.
The Mayville crew has focused their efforts on the east shore from Galloway Road to Wooglin.
The Long Point harvesters are working north along the west shore from the bridge to Whitney Bay. The shore crew has completed the west shore from Ashville Bay to the bell tower in Chautauqua Inst.
The mobi north crew has been working north along the west shore from the Ferry back to Chautauqua Marina in Mayville. The mobi south crew has completed Burtis Bay and is making their way north along the west shores of Lakewood.

Work Summary: July 19 -23, 2021
The entire lake has been surveyed by our crews. We are aware there are still some areas with large trees. Many of these were too large for our crews to handle. We have tried to remove all of the floating dangers we have come across and will continue to look for others.
Please be cautious when using the lake. Many of the logs and trees look as though they are small but are much larger than expected below the surface. Also please be considerate of your wake while many docks are still under water and at risk of floating away.
In addition to debris clean up this week, our Lakewood harvesters worked in the Burtis Bay area heading north along the shores of Lakewood into Sherman’s Bay. Long Point harvesters made their way along the west shore from Cheney’s Point to Upper Stow. The shore crew completed the east shore from Lakeside Drive to the Cheney Farm. The Mayville crew continued south from Bird & Tree into Hartfield Bay stopping at Galloway Road. The Mobi North crew worked several days on debris clean up along the narrows of the east shore from the Casino to the Bridge then crossed and is working north along the west shore from the Ferry into Upper Stow. The Mobi South crew completed the east shore from Greenhurst to Denslow Road then crossed to the Celoron marinas working north along the west shore into Burtis Bay.

Work Summary: July 6 – 9, 2021
Happy Friday! This was a short week due to the holiday. It marked the first week of the mobi-trac program and our fourth week of regular season activities. Aside from the crazy weather, we had a great week. The Mayville crew continued their way through Hartfield Bay with the mobi tracs right behind them. Harvesters worked from the park to Lake Ave. Shore crew worked from Galloway Road to Wooglin. The mobis made it from the park to Dearing Road.
The Long Point harvesters completed the east shore from Long Point to the Lutheran Camp. Then began south from Long Point to the bridge. Shore crews finished Bemus from the Casino to the bridge and then made their way from Tom’s Point to Whitney Bay. The mobi crew started at the Bemus launch and made their way just past Shore Acres marina.
The Lakewood harvesters completed Old Fluvanna then crossed to the west shore and worked from the Celoron marinas to the hotel. On Thursday due to the weather the full crew worked from the CLA to the Ball fields in Burtis Bay.

This week, despite the weather, we made great progress along our routes. Lakewood harvesters completed the entire east shore from Greenhurst to Denslow (Old Fluvanna). Shore crews are making their way through Sherman’s Bay to Lakeside Dr/Vukote. Long Point harvesting crew completed the west shore from Whitney Bay to Prendergast Point. Shore crews made their way along the west shore from Cheney’s Point to Hadley Bay then worked along Lakeside Drive from Long Point to the Casino. Due to the weather harvesters assisted the shore crew on Wednesday and Thursday. Mayville harvesters completed the west shore from Mayville Park to Prendergast Point then went back to Hartfield Bay. Shore crews continued through Hartfield Bay.

Long Point harvesters worked along the west shore from Cheney’s Point to Whitney Bay. Shore crews completed the east shore from Shore Acres to the Cheney Farm then along the west shore from Ashville Bay to Longview in Bly Bay.
Lakewood harvesters completed the west shore from Vukote to Goose Creek then worked south along the east shore from the Cheney Farm to Greenhurst Point. Shore crews have continued along the west shore of Lakewood into Sherman’s Bay.

Long Point crew completed the Stow area from the bridge to Toms Point then began working along the east shore from the bridge to Shore Acres.

This week was the beginning the 2021 summer season as Pre-Season Curly Leaf crews hit the waters! Monday was a training day for operators. Starting Tuesday, there were 4 harvesters working on the overgrowth of curly leaf, harvesting navigational paths. Two harvesters worked out of the Lakewood shop and two harvesters worked out of Long Point. No harvesting will be done at this time in areas that were treated with herbicide. Please see the maps attached. The pink areas are treatment zones. We are still waiting for confirmation that those areas were in fact treated. Maps will be updated once confirmation is received. The yellow areas are where we will concentrate our activities this week.
Long Point crew worked their way north along the west shore from Ashville Bay to Quigley Park. Then focused on the narrows, clearing from Upper Stow to the Bridge. Work will continue in these areas again next week.
Lakewood crew worked from the CLA shop to the Lakewood boat launch. Then from the CLA shop north along the west shore through Lakewood to just above Shadyside. Work will continue along the west shore next week to Ashville Bay.

Work Summary: May 17 – 28, 2021
Annual lake wide debris cleanup has been completed with 11 truckloads of debris removed from the shoreline. Crews worked both sides of the lake: in the southern basin to the I-86 bridge and north of the bridge along the eastern shore into Dewittville Bay.
Shorelines located within conservation areas were left undisturbed in order to protect and allow the aquatic life habitat to naturally evolve.
On May 19 – 20, lake association crew removed trash that had accumulated in the outlet between Chautauqua Lake and McCrea Point. Trash retrieved from the shoreline included: barrels, furniture, construction debris and an array of plastic items.
