Annual Light The Lake Event Set for July 4 at 10pm
On July 4 at 10 p.m., lakefront residents are asked to light their flares in an attempt to outline the entirety of Chautauqua Lake.
Flares are $3 each and last for 30 minutes. Official lighting time is 10 p.m., and the proceeds from the flare sale benefit our summer in-lake services.
Flares may be purchased at the following locations: Ashville General Store, Bemus Point Market, Chautauqua Marina, Peterson’s Farm, Hogan’s Hut, Lighthouse Point Grocery, Olde Corner Deli, Bridgeview One Stop, ROBO on 430, Lakewood Mobil Mart, Smith Boys, Chautauqua Brick Bemus Point, Stewart’s Hardware, TOPS Mayville, TOPS Jamestown, and Wegman’s.
This year both Mayville and Bemus Point are scheduled to start fireworks displays at 10 p.m. on July 4.
