Today, our shore crews assisted owners – like you – with the burden of cleaning their shores!

Thank you for your interest in supporting the Chautauqua Lake Association’s mission to serve as the steward of Chautauqua Lake. The work we undertake throughout the season assists in keeping the lake safe, clean and ecologically healthy.

Keeping our lake usable requires labor, heavy machinery, research and of course, money! Although the CLA receives funding from private foundations, we rely on contributions from individuals and local businesses.

The CLA has demonstrated that with proper funding, the enormous task of keeping the lake safe, clean and usable can be done. Every tax deductible donation made to the CLA is an investment in Chautauqua Lake, one of the primary resources for tourism in our county.

More Ways You Can Help Keep Chautauqua Lake Beautiful

  • Mow Tall
  • Fertiilize Less
  • Plant Native
  • Maintain Your Septic System

Clean lakes need healthy shores, some of the benefits to shore cleanup include:

  • Increased water flow
  • Minimizes unwanted smells
  • Reduces floating vegetation
  • Provides a beautiful shore for you to enjoy

Between our visits, we recommend you help by raking and piling vegetation. Piles can then be collected by CLA crews working nearby.
