The Chautauqua Lake Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Douglas Larson to its board of directors. Dr. Larson is a life-long resident of Chautauqua County and will be strengthening the organization’s mission to protect, restore, and preserve Chautauqua Lake.

Dr. Larson graduated from Southwestern Central School in 1991 and Penn State University with his B.S. in Biology in 1995. Dr. Larson furthered his education at the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2000 and went on to graduate in 2008 with his Certificate in Orthodontics from the University of  Rochester Eastman Institute for Oral Health. His orthodontic practice, Larson Orthodontics, is located on Fairmount Avenue in West Ellicott.

“Dr. Larson has been active with the Chautauqua Watershed Conservancy and as of October 2015 has been elected as their board president,” said Doug Conroe, executive director of the Chautauqua Lake Association. “Both organizations work together for the good of Chautauqua Lake,” said Conroe. Working with both organizations will allow Dr. Larson to offer valuable insight on how best to utilize both organizations’ resources for the benefit of Chautauqua Lake and the greater Chautauqua Lake community.

Dr. Larson lives in Lakewood with his wife Andrea and their two sons, Brody and Bennett. He enjoys the outdoor activities and opportunities that the local lakes and streams provide.
