CLFA Donates $7,000 to CLA

IMG_20160809_141903The Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association recently presented a check to the Chautauqua Lake Association to help with lake maintenance. The $7,000 donation will be used to continue lake health monitoring and for the removal of nuisance aquatic vegetation.

“It gives us great pleasure to see the results of the CLA’s hard work. The CLA works tirelessly on keeping our lake alive. Their work helps the economy and the tourism in Chautauqua County,” said Mark Damon, president of the CLFA. “It fulfills our mission to better our lake,” said Damon. The CLFA has been a devoted supporter of the CLA for the past 10 years. In that time, the CLFA has donated over $43,000 to the CLA’s annual lake maintenance.

“The CLA is honored to have such wonderful partners like the Fishing Association who are as passionate about keeping the lake beautiful as the lake association itself,” said Doug Conroe, Executive Director of the CLA. Conroe added that the CLFA has been very generous to the CLA over the years. “I’m very pleased that we can continue to work together for the good of Chautauqua Lake,” said Conroe.
