Word has been received that the court action aimed at preventing the 2022 use of the herbicide ProcellaCOR EC in Lake George has been brought to a conclusion. In 2022 the Court issued an order that the treatment not proceed at that time pending further court review.
On Friday, March 3, 2023, the Court issued a decision that the 2022 permit issuance action by the Adirondack Park Agency be voided. The court cited procedural inadequacies along with commenting in its official written Decision and Judgement that the Court “thus finds that the petitioners have established that the permits issued by the APA may directly harm LGA members in their use and enjoyment of Lake George.”

ProcellaCOR EC has been used in Chautauqua Lake the past few years by various town governments.
