Chautauqua Lake Conference June 15, 2019

Six Chautauqua County organizations who prioritize lake and watershed conservation are collaborating to convene the first of what they hope will be an annual conference focusing on topics important to the future of Chautauqua Lake.

The 2019 Chautauqua Lake Conference will be held Saturday, June 15 at Chautauqua Institution. This day-long event is offered as an educational and networking resource for those interested in the status and future of Chautauqua Lake.

“Our speakers, presenters and exhibitors all bring expertise and experience specifically related to Chautauqua Lake and more broadly related to lake ecology, policy, education and conservation,” said conference chair Ted First.

“Our goal is to bring a diverse group of people together who care about and depend upon Chautauqua Lake and who wish to network with others who share their passion and priorities,” said First.

The conference will begin at 8:45 a.m. at Elizabeth S. Lenna Hall on the grounds of Chautauqua Institution.  Concurrent sessions and tours of area watershed management projects will run throughout the day, with an exhibit hall available during lunch and breaks at Bellinger Hall.  View the day’s schedule of events.
