Annual Light The Lake Event Set for July 4 at 10pm On July 4 at 10 p.m., lakefront residents are asked to light their flares in an attempt to outline the entirety of Chautauqua Lake. Flares are $3 each and last for 30 minutes. Official lighting time is 10 p.m., and the proceeds from the flare sale benefit our summer in-lake services. Chautauqua Fishing Association Presents Check to CLA President Lakewood, NY — The Chautauqua Lake Fishing Association (CFLA) recently presented a check for $2,000 to the Chautauqua Lake Association (CLA) to help with annual operational expenses. The CLFA has been an annual supporter of the CLA’s mission to keep the lake healthy and clean since 2006.
